Why You Still Don’t Understand Managed Print Services

April 22nd, 2011 by under Print & Copy Best Practices. No Comments.

Think you understand Managed Print Services? Maybe… but not if…

  • You buy new equipment because it’s faster
  • You’re willing to upgrade the old machine because you’ll save monthly on your lease
  • Your copiers/multifunction devices are handled by a different department than your printers
  • You buy color-capable devices instead of monochrome because it’s just a little more money on your monthly lease
  • You don’t know how many 11×17 tabloid prints your equipment makes every month
  • You still don’t know how much you are spending monthly for all copies and prints
  • You don’t have a plan to decrease volume

If you answered yes to any of the above, help is on the way. Talk with us and let’s get your fleet working for you. Now that’s Complexity Simplified! 1-800-422-0080

How much will your company spend for printing and copying for each employee?

April 11th, 2011 by under Print & Copy Best Practices. 1 Comment.

Over $800 yearly.   Those are” hard costs” which include paper, toner, acquisition costs, machine repair costs.

Here is how that is figured

Per Page Cost No of pages printed daily Total Daily Cost Total Yearly Cost
Toner/Ink Supplies 0.020 45 0.90 225
Acquisition 0.050 45 2.25 562.5
Service 0.007 45 0.32 78.75
Total 866.25

Sadly, hard costs are just a small portion of  the true price of printing/copying representing just 10% of the overall cost.  See the bigger picture by going to our previous article.
