What is 8 Bit Color?
December 12th, 2011 by admin under Multifunction Printer MFP. No Comments.
Besides resolution, color office machines can improve the quality of their prints by offering a wider range of available colors to print. Typical office machines print in 4 bit color. That means that there are 4 color levels available for each pixel printed. 8 bit color takes that a step further by… you guessed it, making 8 bits of color available for each pixel.
What does that mean to the printout? A higher range of deep hues on the print. Toshiba color MFP’s offer 8 bit color depth and the prints are very impressive.
